Is my child’s training progress monitored?
• Yes, you and your child will visit the NeuroVision Center, and your child will have an eye examination. Your child’s progress will be reviewed by a Personal Eye Trainer (P.E.T.) and shared with you and your child.

How do I know my child’s vision is improving?
•
Your child’s P.E.T. will measure visual improvement using an eye chart – The Visual Acuity chart. This chart tests your child’s ability to identify small objects (small black letters or numbers over white background)
Your child may start noticing visual improvement as soon as he or she has completed ten training sessions. You can also assess improvement by selecting objects that your child sees in daily life and having your child view them over time, making note of the improvement.

•
The average improvement that is experienced during the NeuroVision training is approximately two (2) lines on the Eye Chart.
At the end of the PowerVision training, your child can expect to see better with lower degrees. If your child has 150 degrees or more, he or she may even be able to go about without glasses.

How is it determined that my child’s PowerVision training has concluded?

The PowerVision training uses a computer. How does a computer improve vision?
• The PowerVision training uses the computer and high technology software to identify the weaknesses in your child’s vision and strategically improve them. Although it uses a computer, your child will be seated 1.5 meters away from the computer. Computers are thought to be bad for vision as prolonged near work causes the eyes to be strained. However, as the PowerVision Training is performed 1.5 meters away from the monitor, no such near work strain occurs.
