Expert opinion
Naturally we were quite skeptical about the whole thing, because traditionally, ophthalmologists thought that apart from glasses and surgery, other methods wouldn't  work for myopia. But we tried it out, and it did work.

"I underwent LASIK treatment in 2000, and had perfect eyesight immediately after. However, over the next 2 years, I developed residual myopia of about 75 degrees in my right eye and 100 degrees in my left as the scar tissue healed. I continued to depend on spectacles for reading signs and displays as close at 10m away. In 2004, I was introduced to Neurovision's state-of-the-art vision enhancing software. My interest in science and technology allowed me to appreciate that Neurovision could complement LASIK treatment.

Essentially, LASIK physically alters the curvature of the eye to enable a sharper focus. In contrast, Neurovision enables sharper vision by training the brain to pick out fainter contrasts. For me, this involved about 30 sessions with Neurovision's training software over a period of four months. It was easy to use, and was carefully calibrated every session based on my progress.

The tasks were varied, challenging and enjoyable. Within two months, I gradually noticed improvement in my vision. Colours seemed more vibrant, and the words on signs and displays were sharper. These, to me, confirmed the effectiveness of the training program.”
